Arochukwu council Boss visit schools as fumigation exercise commences

The Transition Committee Chairman, Arochukwu LGA, Mazi Jideofor Kanu, in compliance with the State government's directive, commenced tour across Schools in the council today. 
Speaking with relevant education stakeholders in the council, Mazi Jideofor urged them to speed up readiness to ensure the safety of Pupils and students as they resume. He made this call today in Arochukwu when he visited Primary and secondary schools in the area.

Mazi Jideofor explained that the fumigation exercise which was directed by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is to certify the safety of school environment as schools  re-open for exam classes.
The schools visited includes: Aggrey Primary school 1 and 2, Obinkita central school 1 and 2, Amuvi Community primary school 1 and 2 and Amuvi Comprehensive secondary school. Aggrey Primary school 1 and 2 were statutorily ready and the fumigation exercise was carried out by the council Health team. 
In their separate speeches, the Headmistresses of the schools visited thanked the Transition Committee Chairman for his concern and efforts to help combat Covid 19 pandemic in Arochukwu LGA. They appealed to community leaders to help them mobilize youths to assist in the cleanup exercise as directed by the government and promised to adhere to all the protocols issued by the State government. 
The T. C Chairman was accompanied by the council Education Secretary, council Health Authority Secretary, council Environmental team, all TC Councilors, Supervisory councilors, security personnel and the media.
The tour resumes tomorrow with visitation to schools in Ututu, Ihechiowa, Isu and Abam clans respectively.
