Llyodant Business Services engaged by Abiapoly is fraudulent - Abia Assembly

The Abia state House of Assembly committee investigating the financial management of Abia state polytechnic that has led to unpaid salaries has released its report.
The Chairman of the adhoc-Committee that Investigated Abia State Polytechnic Aba Hon.Barr. Jerry Uzosike Presented his Committee Report as Follows:
"That Liodant Business Services engaged by the Institution is Fraudulent, that Liodant business Services refused to give the Committee the break down of its Deduction but a source from the grapevine revealed that Liodant Business Services engages other Financial Institutions to deduct more than the agreed fee"
"In this 2019,the Polytechnic has only received one Month Subvention, the only revenue generating avenue of the Institution is through levies on the students.
" That the Rectors lodge is in a very bad Condition,which makes the RECTOR stay in a Hotel whenever he is in Abia"
"That Abia State Polytechnic has not Convocated its Students for the past 10years"
"That Many Departments are in dire need of reaccreditation by the National Board For Technical Education"
"That Passed Administrations of the Institution hired staff in anticipation of moving to the Permanent Staff"
"That the enabling Laws of the Abia State Polytechnic gives the management too much Powers"
"That Total Fees paid by every average student in Abia Poly is about N110,000.
" That most Union Leaders were sacked while the Committee was on its assignment.
"That One Person holds Three Important Positions in the Institution I.e One Person is the HOD,one Person is the Burser and one Person is the Director of Sports.
RECOMMENDATIONS by the Commitee.
(1)The Downsizing of the Staff Strength is not only recommended but inevitable, however disengaged staff should be paid all the salaries owed them.
(2)/That Abia State Polytechnic ICT Contractor is not sincere (LIODANT) ,that the BIR in Abia State make investigation to know the proper Findings on the deduction.
(3) That if the House agrees ,EFCC should be Invited to Investigate the activities of Liodant Business Services.
(4)/That the Rector be advised to renovate the Rectors Lodge and leave the Hotel Immediately.
(5)/That the Services of LIONDANT be Terminated with immediate effect.
(6) That WIFI fee should be removed from Student fees as each student now has internet Connection in their Phones.
(7)A Reduction of Acceptance Fee to N15,000.
(8)That Mrs Ihedioha be returned to the Health Centered to serve out her term.
(9)/That Mrs Gloria be returned so that she will not suffer of Stroke.
(10) That All Union Leaders affected by the downsizing exercise be returned but if they have Certificate Problems,the House Members may not v
(11) That the State Government should be encouraged to increase their Monthly Subvention to the Institution.
The Chairman Hon Jerry Uzosike stated in the Report.
He laid the Report on the Table.
The Speaker thanked the Chairman of the adhoc- Committee for their incisive Work on their Assignment and committed the report to the House Committee on the Whole after the Motion by the Majority Leader.
