The National Executives and Members of the Abia State Polythecnic Alumni Association wish to align with the  Governor of Abia State , Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji, the entire members of the Assembly and the Management of Abia State Polythecnic, Aba led by Professor Friday Ezionye Eboh on the implemention of the recommended reforms to right size the workforce, settle issues of non payment of salaries, reposition of management and resolution of other issues towards restructuring of the institution and restoring its glory.
While we sympathize with some of our members and other staff of the institution affected by these reforms, we wish to urge them to see it as sacrifice for the betterment of our Alma mater as we wish them well in any other endeavors.
We also urge the state government to timely release statutory subventions of the institution while the management ensures prudence in the affairs of the institution going forward, so as not to let the sacrifice made by all affected be in vain.
To our students and intending students, we urge you to keep faith with the institution in line with our motto "Towards Excellence in Technology" to continue providing qualitative higher education and morals.
Once again, the Alumni as the First Stakeholders, reaffirm our support for honest and pragmatic approach towards the restoration of the glory of our Alma mater.
Long live Abia State Polythecnic, Aba,
Signed:
Comrade Festus Amaogu
National President
Comrade Bartholomew Nzeako
National Secretary
and
Comrade Ben Osuagwu
