Ikpeazu tasks religious leaders to pray more

The Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has called on Religious Leaders to ceaselessly pray for leaders in various positions of authority to enable them be more proactive in meeting the needs of the citizenry for a better society.
Dr. Ikpeazu who made the call during the 2019 conference series 1 in honour of the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry ( OPM ) , Apostle, Chibuzor Gift Chinyere as the Crusader of Social General by the Faculty of Humanities, Dept of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State said this has become necessary as leaders are looked upon as people with embodiment of good leadership that should impact on the people.
The Governor represented by his deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu lauded the General Overseer of OPM , Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere for being an embodiment of practical Christianity where he has been able to touch the life of the less privileged in the society positively through his humanitarian and social oriented services and urged others in the ministry to emulate his selfless service to mankind.
He congratulated the Abia State born Minister from Ohanku - Ndoki , Ukwa East LGA on the wonderful and well deserved award bestowed on him by the University of Port Harcourt which he described as an honour done not only to Apostle Chinyere, but to the state and prayed God to continue to sustain him with Grace and Vision to propagate the gospel.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor of University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Ndowa Lale commended the OPM General Overseer for successfully combining the gospel of Jesus Christ with a laudable welfare initiative that has greatly impacted on virtually on all segment of society through his philanthropic activities, Ministry of Mercy and Salvation of souls.
Earlier in their address, The (HOD) Religious and Cultural Studies and Convener of the Conference, Dr. Ngozi Iheanacho and the Chairman on the occasion, Prof. George Obiazor said the dept resolved to honour Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere with the award in acknowledgement of his legacies as an untiring liberator of social problems, icon of free education ,rehabilitator of humanity and appreciated all for coming to join in celebrating a great man of God.
Responding the awardee and ( GO) of ( OPM ) Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere who said he has every reason to glorify God for making him a product of Grace , disclosed that he decided to reach out to the less privileged through his free Education, free specialist' hospital having experienced deprivation and pointed out that he wants to be remembered as a pastor with the highest number of souls raptured for God's kingdom, thanking the department for honouring him with the award .
The event which featured decoration of the awardee and cutting of cake attracted the presence of the member representing Ukwa East/ West Federal Constituency, Chief Uzoma Abonta , that of Ukwa East state constituency, Chief Paul Taribo , top govt officials and other distinguished personalities.
