Ikpeazu charges priests to be good ambassadors of Christ

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has congratulated the newly ordained priests and Deacons of the Anglican Church and charged them to be good ambassadors of Christ on earth.
The Governor who was speaking during ordination of priests and making of Deacons at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Itungwa of the  Diocese of Aba, commended the Itungwa church for embarking on the gigantic church building and made financial donations in support of the project as well as assured of his continuous support to the church.
The Bishop of Aba Diocese, Rt. Reverend Christian Ugwuzor, while ordaining the six new priests and two Deacons charged them to be faithful dispensers of the word of God. He  enjoined them to preach the gospel, declare God's forgiveness to penitent sinners and pronounce God's blessings to the church as well as charged them to promote unity in the church and live a life worthy of emulation.
Bishop Ugwuzor congratulated the Governor on his successful second term inauguration and prayed for the success of the Governor and his government.
In a sermon earlier, Venerable Nzechinyere Israel called on ministers of the gospel to depend on God for power and do not look for power outside God, stressing that such powers do not last. According to him, the newly ordained priests should imitate Christ, be loyal , show love and care for the church and maintain their integrity.
He urged church members  to support their ministers to enable them succeed in their call as servants of God and thanked the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for works done so far, especially in Aba and urged him to do more.
