Uche Ogah’s Balaam Moment

In the Bible, precisely in the Book of Numbers 22:21-39, we read the story of Prophet Balaam, his donkey and King Balak. King Balak, representing APC in this context, hired Balaam to curse Israel, represented by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia PDP, so that he can defeat them in battle.

Balak knew that God would honor the words of His prophets and Uche Ogah has been posturing as a prophet in his political campaigns.

When Balaam was set to go, God stopped him on the way using his donkey (APC members like President Buhari, VP Osibanjo, Bola Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, Ikechi Emenike etc) but eventually allowed him to go to Umuahia stadium but with strict instructions: 35 "The angel of the Lord said to Balaam, 'Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.' So Balaam went with Balak’s officials".

In numbers 23, Balaam said to Balak, build me an altar (podium at Umuahia Stadium) so I can offer sacrifices and prophesy.

Those who watched the live transmission of the APC rally will recall that when Uche Ogah was invited to speak at the rally he started by singing songs of praise to God Almighty and then...

8 "How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the Lord hath not defied?

11 And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether".

And then Uche Ogah said: “PDP has ruled Abia State for 20 years and we are moving to PDP”.

While many may not spiritually understand what happened yesterday, as recorded in this video, I make bold to state that it was divinely orchestrated. Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is God’s chosen vessel to continue to change the Abia narrative positively and that has already been proven by his surviving many obstacles, litigations and outright sabotage placed on his path by his political opponents.

To date, none of his 2015 opponents can understand how “ordinary” refuse collector emerged as the Governor of Abia State whereas they, with all their wealth and connections, could not make it. Just like the brothers of David never understood how God chose a mere shepherd boy over and above the rest of them.

Herod never understood why the messiah came through a carpenter and the elder children of David could not understand why Solomon replaced their father as King.

Governor Ikpeazu’s opponents lack spiritual insight and understanding of what David said in
Psalm 62:11 - "God has spoken once, twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God".

It is God that anoints leaders and He chooses whom He will at any point in time for His purpose to be fulfilled.

I, John Okiyi Kalu Nmah Kalu, will never be afraid to say it that God chose Dr Okezie Ikpeazu to lead Abia State at this time because I heard it directly from Him. Like the Biblical wise men from the East I will follow his political star and support him to do that which God has anointed him to do.

Dr Ikpeazu may not be perfect in all his ways but there is no debating the fact that God chose him and God does not necessarily choose perfect men and women. Whoever He chooses he perfects for the assignment given to him. He does not choose the qualified, He qualifies the chosen.

Governor Ikpeazu has done many good things in Abia State and we have PEACE which is a major scriptural signpost that confirms God’s presence among a people. He has not done everything there is to do but I am confident he is ready, willing and able to do much more with the help of God.

Let us follow the lead of Balaam Uche Ogah and move to PDP to support Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and all those in same party with him. Do not attribute the work of God to “slip of tongue” because the Bible recorded that it is God that controls the tongues of men (Genesis 11: 1-9).
