Abia council poll: Movement not restricted during election – Abia CP

Abia state Commissioner of Police, Mr Leye Oyebade, has disclosed that there will be no restriction of movement during voting hours in tomorrow’s council polls in the state.

 

According to him, there will only be limited restriction of movements around polling units and collation centres.

 

The commissioner who spoke during an exclusive interview with Factnewsonline assured the populace of the readiness of his men to conduct a peaceful election on the 21st of December as directed by Abia state Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC).

 

He further assured Abians and residents that the command has put in place adequate measures to ensure safe and peaceful yuletide celebration in the state and called on the members of the public to report illegal checkpoints and security incidents to him directly through the following numbers:
