My Bond with Your Family Remains Intact ; Gov. Ikpeazu Assures the Late.Bishop Owen's Family

Abia State Governor ,Okezie Ikpeazu has assured the family of the Late. Bishop Owen Azubuike of his continuous support for the family, noting that the bond of relationship between father and son established between him and the deceased remains intact.

The Governor was speaking at the burial ceremony held in honour of Late. Bishop Owen Azubuike at St. Gregory's Anglican Church, Nbawsi, Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of the state.

He said his feelings can only be captured in the fact that the multitude that gathered to pay their last respects to the late. Bishop is because of the impacts he made in their lives, while alive. He recalled that his last moments with him was the prayers he made to God to establish His power by ensuring he serves Abia State as the Governor of the state.

Governor Ikpeazu described his death as painful but noted that to God its harvest time for saints like the late Bishop Owen Azubuike. "Just as we did not have any role in his creation, we do not have any role in his home coming".

Dr. Ikpeazu enjoined the family to hold unto the ideals the late. Bishop lived and died for especially his message of the second coming of Christ,which he said is the hope and strength of Christians.

According to the Governor, the words of admonition the deceased left behind would continue to be his leading light and urged them to take solace in the fact that he lived a good life, while challenging them to live by his legacies in order to see him at the resurrection morning to part no more.

He further admonished the family to ensure that the fabric of unity in the family must be upheld as they remain strong in faith and at home.
