A meeting of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was deadlocked, following the selection of Yahaya Bello, as APC’s candidate for the guber supplementary polls in Kogi State.
James Faleke, who was Audu’s running mate, has threatened to leave the seat open, making it challengeable in court.

Faleke argued that as a running mate, he was rightfully supposed to be the flag bearer against the decision of the party.
He said he was not notified by the leadership of the Party on their decision to pick Bello as party candidate, and that he was just informed about their decision.
He insisted that Bello was not part of the campaign and therefore should not be picked.
Earlier political supporters of both Bello and Faleke besieged the Party Secretariat chanting solidarity songs for their principals
