Rotary Club Umuahia Flags Off Rotary Family Health Days

The Rotary Club of Umuahia, District 9140 has flagged off it's 3 day Rotary Family Days geared towards improving the health of the people. The club is organizing the programme in collaboration with Society For Family Health.
The three day family health programme runs from October 14-16 at the Primary Health Care Centre, Umuahia North Local Government Area.
In her opening speech, the Co -ordinator of the Programme, Rotarian Ogechi Oguama, highlighted that the event was aimed at proffering health solutions to those who cannot afford it at all levels free of charge.
The project which is funded by Rotarians in partnership with the Society for Family Health and other donor agencies is being organized by three Rotary District in Nigeria, which include Districts 9140, 9125, 9120. Rotarian Oguama, further Stated that the event will feature free medical screening and test for all medical needs including diabetes, hypertension and HIV.
While declaring the event open, the permanent secretary of health, Nkwachukwu Agomoh, represented by Franklyn Orji applauded the efforts of the Rotary Club in organizing such an event, which he said compliments the programme of the Ministry of Health. He pledged the support of the Ministry in achieving the success of the programme.
