Nigeria Spends #187billion on wheat and fish importation; CBN

The Central Bank of Nigeria has said it spent about #186.91 on foreign exchange for the importation of wheat and fish between January and May 2015.

Director of Monetary Policy of the apex Bank, Moses Tule noted that the inclusion of some imported goids and services on the list of items not valid for foreign exchange in the Nigerian Foreign markets was meant to improve local production.

Tule said the Central Bank of Nigeria spent $374 million in fish importation, importation of wheat $374 million and $349 billion was on electrical and electronics.
