Nigerian Military reclaims Mubi town

Latest reports has revealed that the Nigerian military has reclaimed Mubi town,one of the towns in Adamawa state reported to have been taken over by the terroist Boko Haram sect.
Reports reveal that the soldiers launched a fierce attack,which saw the insurgents retreating. But residents of the town who confirmed the story to newsmen,said settlers in the area are afraid of returning for fear of reprisal attacks by Boko Haram.
This is coming after it was reported that hunters in Mubi town were strategising on ways of reclaiming their town from the group.
Adamawa state government's spokesman,Mr. P.P Elisha who confirmed this,said the government was supporting the hunters with three hilux trucks through their umbrella body the State Hunters Association to enable them in their fight against the terroist,while applauding the efforts of the civilian JTF, the Sarkin Bakan Gombi and the Military in their efforts at reclaiming the captured Mubi town.
The Nigerian Military had been trying to reclaim Mubi since the Islamists took over the commercial nerve centre of the state,since October 29th, 2014.
In a related development,Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff,Lt.Gen.Kenneth Minimah has vowed to regain all territories taken over by the Boko Haram insurgents

At a meeting with the Senate committe for defence on plans to tackle insurgency in the northeastern part of Adamawa,Borno and Yobe,Minimah said the Nigerian Military will do all within its capacity to win the war against the insurgents while reclaiming lost territories.
