Pastor T.B. Joshua failed to show up in court today, Wednesday November 5. He was expected to testify at the inquest into the collapse of a church guest-house in September that killed about a 115 people.

The inquest started in October after officials in South Africa said the Nigerian government was not doing enough about the building collapse.
According to sources, over eighty South Africans were among those killed in the collapse.

Although T.B Joshua failed to show up at the court, many of his followers and sympathizers were on ground to show solidarity.
One of his sympathisers, Tim Ajiboye, a member of "Citizenship Club" said they were not expecting the man of God to show up in court as his presence may cause a stampede due to the large number of followers he has.

After the court proceedings which lasted for over three hours, counsel to the Synagogue Church Of All Nations, Olalekan Ojo said "T.B. Joshua had not been served summons, he is not aware not that he should be in court," he said, urging the court to do the right thing.
The presiding judge gave a 72-hour notice for the preacher to be served with a summon.

Meanwhile court proceedings will  continue tomorrowNovember 6, 2014.
