As the mammoth crowd of Item people and their friends gathered today to honour The People’s Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, myself and other illustrious sons of Abia, one exciting memory that reverberated in my mind was BUILD UP TO 2015 when I traversed all Item clan meetings in Aba begging for acceptance of PDP...

I recollect telling our people that an Okezie Governorship will factor, in the most rewarding manner; the interests of Nde Item and indeed Bende in Aba. Today, I am glad that they have accepted that with the rapid development of Aba, Bende and other parts of Abia; it would have been a disaster foretold for them to have made another choice. While they admonished the Governor for being thorough in his approach, re-enacting the MBAKWE days; I imagined how smooth 2019 would be. Item people didn’t have any problem endorsing the Governor to GO AGAIN for the second time.

Item DayOn behalf of myself, my delectable Amazon Ndidi Cosmos Ndukwe, family and the hardworking people of Bende North State Constituency; I want to thank the Governor for finding time to identify with us as usual. I want to thank him for living true to all his campaign promises and making the task of supporting him an easy one.

I appreciate the distinguished Senator representing our own Abia North Sen. Mao Ohuabunwa of the FOLLOW BETTER FAME. Be assured that your fraternity with Nde Item and indeed Bende will continue unobstructed.

Thanks for your support. We took particular notice of Ijiriji Aba Ngwa, Enyioha 1 of Item, the Hon . Commissioner for Agriculture
Rt. Hon. Uzor Azubuike. Thanks for all your support. I sighted the Hon. Commissioner for Petroleum, Barr Chizurum Kanu and our Federal Commissioner in Public Complaints Commission Barr Emeka Nwogu. Item people won’t forget.

To the Chairman of the occasion, my own brother; the Hon. Commissioner for Housing Barr James Okpara, you have again demonstrated you are indeed a great team player. Like you, my brother the respected Bishop Sunday Onuoha was at his best. Thanks again.

This wouldn’t end without appreciating the efforts of Chairman Bende Local Government Chief Gabriel Elendu and PDP Chairman Bende Chief Nwaorisara, IDA President General Ogba Nwokoro His Exceutives and Item Development Association (IDA) Aba Branch for organizing such a successful event.

I have soft spot for our traditional rulers who came in their numbers led by Chairman Item Traditional rulers council and Eze Eze Mbakwe Chairman Old Bende traditional Rulers council. I value the contributions of Orji Udeagha, Commissioner representing us in ASOPADEC, our brother OSO Onyebinanma and several others too numerous to mention

May this my Jehovah overdo God of Grace, who has deemed it fit to surround me with unmerited favour always bless and keep you all. IJN...
