The Abia State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Justice Onuoha Ogwe as the Chief Judge of Abia State.
This followed a correspondent from Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to the Speaker, Chikwendu Kalu requesting the House to confirm Justice Ogwe.
Reading the letter at the floor of the House during plenary, the Speaker explained that the confirmation became necessary following the approval by the National Judicial Council, NJC and the compulsory retirement of former Chief Judge, Justice Theresa Uzokwe.
