Insecurity: 14 dead as Vigilante, Bandits clash in Katsina

The spokesperson of the Katsina Police Command, SP Gambo Isah has confirmed the death of 14 people killed during a clash between men of the vigilantes group of Tsamiyar Jino village in Kankaro local government of Katsina state and some bandits.
The clas was said to have occured when members of the vigilante group launched an attack on the bandits in their forest hideout. The coordinated attack succeeded in killing seven members of the bandits. In retaliation, the bandits killed seven members of the vigilante group, thereby bringing the total number of deaths to 14. The bandits however, made away with corpses of their members.
