Senate President, Bukola Saraki opened and closed his defence before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

He faced a three-count of charge of false assets declaration.

At Tuesday hearing, Saraki’s defence team announced that they were closing their case after calling their only witness.

A former member of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Ademola Adebo, gave evidence and was cross-examined by the defence team.

Saraki’s team had earlier announced that there were four defence witnesses but closed their case after Paul Usoro (SAN), led Adebo in evidence.

The CCT chairman, Danladi Umar, fixed February the 27th for adoption of addresses.

A date for judgment would be fixed after parties adopt their addresses on February 27
