Former Minister of Aviation and a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode, said the sack of SGF Babachir Lawal and the NIA boss, Ayo Oke is not enough, stating that failure to prosecute the duo will amount to selective and partial “fight against corruption.”

Fani-Kayode said in a tweet:

“If Babachir Lawal and Ayo Oke are not prosecuted it speaks volumes about @MBuhari's selective and partial so-called 'fight against corruption'.Truth is there is NO war against corruption. All we have is the baseless and relentless persecution of opposition members and PDP leaders.”

He went on to berate the ex-SGF for not doing enough in his service to the nation as SGF, even as he described his replacement as “a better man.”

Fani-Kayode said, “Babachir Lawal went out of his way to destroy the church in order to assist. … evil Islamist agenda.

“His being sacked is good riddance to bad rubbish. He was so desperate to please his master that he even tried to impose a pro-Buhari leadership on the Christian Association of Nigerian, CAN. Now he is out.

“His successor, Boss Mustapha is a better man and he has far more gravitas and integrity.”
