...You're welcome home-Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has welcomed former PDP member, Honorable Damian Ozurumba, back to the party.

Chief Ozurumba who joined All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in 2014 is a close confidant and political associate of defeated 2015 APGA Governorship candidate, Mr Alex Otti.

Ozurumba represented Isiala Ngwa (North/South) Federal constituency at the House of Representatives  in 2003.

Welcoming Honorable Ozurumba back to PDP, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu applauded his decision to return to PDP and urged for unity among the people.

"This is your home. We can't afford to have you outside your own house. We are here today to welcome you, your team and supporters across Abia back to the PDP. The umbrella is big enough for us. We will not begrudge those who fought against us in 2015, we appreciate them and we want them back home. In the days ahead, we shall sit down in Umuahia, with you and your supporters and many more that will join us, to discuss how we will move our state forward. Everybody must be involved in the building of Abia of our dreams."

Responding, Hon. Ozurumba applauded the Governor for his focused leadership and called on all citizens to support the Governor.

"Today, I am returning to the house I built in Isiala Ngwa South, the house I built in Abia State. The house called PDP. I traveled and I am back to that house and that is what is happening today. And the Governor came to herald the occasion. I am coming with members of Abia First, members of APGA and then the Onuochi Foundation Network. I am not Alone. I don't know what will happen to Alex Otti, the truth is that I have decamped and I have decamped. What happens to him, I wouldn't know. I have returned to my house to build it. Let everyone support the Governor and end malicious politics in Abia state"

Also speaking, state Chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Johnson Onuigbo, welcomed the returnees back to the party and assured them that the party's umbrella will accommodate all of them and their desires to contribute in moving Abia State forward.

According to him, "PDP is your party, like you said, you traveled  and now you've come back to your home. And we welcome you. Abia belongs to all of us and PDP belongs to all of us."
