The people of Umunnato Ngwa comprising of Isiala Ngwa North and South, and Osisioma has threatened to make the state ungovernable if Uche Ogah becomes the governor of the state by crook or favour.

The people stated this in a communiqué read out by the Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Martins Azubuike at a courtesy call to the Governor at the Government House, Umuahia.
Reading out the communiqué, the people of Umunnato described as disheartening the pains of the litigations embarked upon by the Governor after the elections and noted that it's not in the interest of the people of the state that the governor is going back to the court after the long hurdle.

They insisted that the Abia Charter of Equity and the party's zoning principle must stand and urged the people of Abia North to call their son Uche Ogah to order to avert anarchy in the state.

According to them, the people of Abia South must be allowed to serve out their tenure if peace must be maintained in the state.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in response urged the people to maintain peace as always and said nobody can take the mandate freely given to the Ukwa La Ngwa through the back door.

According to the Governor, anyone you dares whom God has enthroned is bound to crash and reaffirmed his strong believe in God to exert justice in Abia.

Our government house correspondent reports that the meeting had in attendance traditional rulers and other stakeholders from the three local governments.
