A popular United States of America (USA) writer, Terry Paulson, has called on his country’s government to support the people of Kurdistan and Biafra in their quest for independence.

Paulson in an article he wrote in his Ventrua County Star and townhall.com column, under the title: “Supporting a “Christian Spring” in Biafra”. He argued that it was wrong for the Obama administration to support insurgents fighting for freedom in Syria without doing same for the Kurdish people in Iraq, and Biafran people in Nigeria.

An award winning public speaker, Paulson queried: “… why has the Obama administration not supplied support and weapons to those in Kurdistan or Christians in Nigeria fighting for their survival? Why has the administration refused to give support to the independence of these beleaguered peoples?”

He noted that in 2010, Obama was among leaders of 145 countries that supported the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples to live in freedom, peace and security as distinct peoples that should not be subjected to any act of genocide or any other act of violence.

He noted also that the declaration recognised the people’s right to determine how they wished to be governed, and said the time has come when the Obama administration should begin to support the Kurds and Biafrans.

Paulson went further to call on Kurds and Biafrans to be bold enough, and to step up calls for the world to go beyond words to actually support their cause.

“It's time for the peoples of Kurdistan and Biafra to call on the world to go beyond words to actually support their cause. It's time for President Obama to stop retreating from leadership in this region and use the weight of his office to act” he wrote.

Terry Paulson is the author of “The Optimum Advantage: 50 single truth to transform your Attitude and Actions into result”. He was known to have once declared that “After listening to Nnamdi Kanu (Director of Radio Biafra), join me in demanding that America stop supporting the status quo in Africa. It's time to stop funding terrorists, corrupt leaders, and the countries that support them. In Biafra, it's time for a "Christian Spring" that makes room for all peace-loving faiths”.
