Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, has urged leaders in at all levels to lead in the fear of God, knowing that leadership was entrusted to man at creation by God.

The Governor stated this at the Grand finale of "Zam Jehovah", an annual event of Assemblies of God Church, 123 Tenant Road Aba.

Taking his text from Genesis 1:26,22:12, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu said that to be a good leader, love is central. According to him, the greatest love story in life is the story of creation of man.
The Governor lamented a situation where parents leave their responsibilities to their children as leaders, adding that it is impossible to Lead without the Fear of God. He urged parents to take up their responsibilities as parents and train their children in the Fear of God.

Citing Isaac, as an example of a child trained under the tutelage of God fearing parents, and an obedient child, he berated the attitude of some children away from home as a result of poor parental upbringing.
Governor Ikpeazu further described the Fear of God as being a  gospel to everyone who comes your way, no matter the situation. He said to achieve this, one must understand the deposit of love in one as a person to exhibit good leadership.

Dr. Ikpeazu, further noted that to Lead in the Fear of God, you must love God and the people you lead. He said the greatest challenge of man is impatience, nothing that love is the main essence of redemption.
The Governor challenged parents to live and lead in the awesome presence of God in their families.

Earlier, the Governor described his moments of worship in the church as his most fulfilling since ascending office. He promised to not just make available the requested evangelism bus, but to be part of advancing God's Kingdom in whatever way he can, describing it as a privilege.

He also made a cash donation of #1million for widows in the church to offset their rents.

The presiding pastor of the church, Rev. Ogboso Ejindu in his welcome address to the Governor, pleaded for the financial support of the governor to get a coaster bus to help boost the effectiveness of bus services of the church in line with the demands of the vision.

He described "Zam Jehovah" as a refreshing pool with resurgent effects that draws people from the city and beyond.

Started in 1998 at Market Road Primary School, Aba, "Zam Jehovah" has grown in leaps and bounds and accompanied by signs, wonders and testimonies.

The congregation received the ministry of the Governor and evangelist of the Adventist Church with excitement and intermittent applause as well as surprise at the Governor's extensive knowledge of the scripture and his personal humility.
