Abia State Government Donate Vehicles to Abia State Police Command

As part of efforts to encourage the men and officers of the Nigerian Police Force, Abia State command and to enhance effective policing in the state, the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has donated 2o vehicles to the police.

 

While presenting the vehicles to the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, the state Governor said the donation of the vehicles became imperative owing to the recent resurgence of criminal activities in the state and said it would help the command in timely response, among other issues.

 

Governor Ikpeazu, who reassured of his administration's commitment to ensuring that the lives and property of citizens of the state is protected, said he would give all the necessary support to the police to ensure the state is rid of criminals.

 

Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, who appreciated the governor for his kind gesture to the police, said his men will give their best to ensure that lives and property of citizens are protected. 

The police boss, reassured of his commitment to ensure that sanity and finese is restored to the police and he said it is his utmost desire to restore the confidence of the people on the police.

 

This comes two weeks after Governor Ikpeazu gave out Hilux vans to the military in the state.
