Abia State Government Swears In Permanent Secretaries

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu have urged Permanent Secretaries in the state to work in tandem with the vision of his administration. The Governor stated this at the swearing in of two Permanent Secretaries at the Executive Chambers of Government House Umuahia. 

The new Permanent Secretaries, Joy Ezinwanyi Nwakanma and Romanus Kaodichukwu had their oath of Office administered by the Solicitor General, Ministry of Justice, Abia State Bar. Enyinnya Okezie.

They swore to abide by the rules and regulations of the civil service without fear or favour.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, while ushering them into the league of Permanent Secretaries in the state, urged them to key into the vision of his administration especially his five key agenda, and emulate Permanent Secretaries who are doing well.

Governor Ikpeazu, who described the civil service as the oil that lubricates the government, noted that whatever is needed to move the state forward must be gotten from within, and therefore urged the sworn in Permanent Secretaries to work hard in their different ministries to achieve this.

He further warned that any act that will undermine the success of the state will not be tolerated.

Joy Enyinnaya Nwakanma while delivering the acceptance speech on behalf of her colleague expressed delight at the appointment she described as apex of civil service, and pledged to do all within their capacity to work with the government of the state in line with her vision.

In attendance at the swearing in were the Deputy Governor, Hon. Udeh Okochukwu, Former Abia Deputy Governor, Acho Nwakanma, commissioners and other state functionaries.
