NDLEA Boss Retires; Hands Over To DG

Ahmadu Giade, the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has voluntarily retired from service.

In a statement by his media aide, Mitchel Ofoyeju, Giade who served as the chairman of the agency for two terms of five years each, handed over to the Director General of the agency, Roli Bode-George.

Giade while describing zero tolerance for corruption as the greatest legacy he is leaving behind, urged his officers to continue in the fight against drugs and embark on drug control programmes.

He revealed that Nigeria got an INTERPOL representative under his watch and also raised international profile.

Giade cited the removal of Nigeria from the list of major drug transit countries by the U.S. and the cordial working relationship with stakeholders as some of his other achievements.

He urged the new boss to take officers welfare as a priority
