Members of All Progressive Congress and People’s Democratic Party were drawn apart following a motion on the alleged plan of President Buhari, to remove subsidy on petrol.

The motion, which was moved by Albert Abiodun Adigun, PDP Osun State, condemned the plan of the President, on the ground that Nigeria would face harsh times without subsidy.

However, APC lawmakers dismissed the motion as “Speculative”, as the president has no plan of removing subsidy.

Earlier, the House demanded a review of the formula for sharing revenue among the three ties of government.

The resolution was even, after Rotimi Agunsoye had moved a motion on “call for New Revenue Allocation Formula for the Federation.

The current formula in place was enacted in 1982, and amended in 1992, seven years before the 1999 constitution came into effect.
