Breaking News!!! Abia Legislator and PDP Federal House Candidate shot

Mr Darlington Nwokocha, a sitting member of the Abia State House of Assembly representing Isiala Ngwa North and the PDP candidate for the Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal House of Representatives was shot on Friday by unidentified gunmen suspected to be soldiers driven in an unmarked hilux truck with no plate number.
According to reliable sources, Hon Darlington Nwokocha has also been declared missing by his people as his whereabouts is unknown to his family. The matter has been reported to the authorities in Abia State. Some Government sources informed Fectnewsonline that the matter was also reported to the Brigade Commander Ohafia Barracks and the Abia State Government.
The whereabouts of the legislator is Unknown and only his car shattered with bullets and blood stains has been located.
In a release on Friday, Abia State Commisioner for Information and Strategy, Dr A. C. B. Agbazuere confirmed the incidence and urged Abians to remain calm as the government is doing everything to locate the victim and also ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act are identified and brought to justice expeditiously.
Sources at Isiala Ngwa informed us that the assailants who trailed and shot the legislator may have been soldiers attached to an opposition candidate for Abia Governorship. But attempts made to reach the Commisioner of Police in Abia state have so far been unsuccessful.
