South African Begins repatrition of corpses identified at SCOAN collapsed building

The South African government on Saturday November 14,began the repatrition of corpses of the citizens who lost their lives in the collapse of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations,belonging to Pastor T.B.Joshua, in Ikotun Area of Lagos State.


81 South Africans were said to have lost their lives in the collapse of the guest house belonging to the church on September 12.
The bodies of the deceased were taken away from the
Isolo General Hospital and Mainland Hospital, Yaba, Lagos.
Lagos State Chief Forensic Pathologist, John Obafunwa however,noted that both the Nigerian and South African teams only identified 66 bodies through DNA tests.


The South African team including forensic experts,and pathologists, were said to have arrived midnight with four forensic pathology trucks, buses,generators,pick up vehicles,and other items to identify the bodies and repatriate them home.


Journalist were however, not allowed to interview the team, who came in company of military men, citing "orders from above" as their reason.
