Latest report getting to Factnewsonline has revealed that the three crew members on board the Nigerian Military helicopter that crashed at Gieri, a suburb of Yola, the Adamawa State capital lost their lives in the ill-fated accident.

A post on the Defence Headquarters website confirmed the incident and revealed that some military forces were working tirelessly to secure the crash site.

Students of the Federal University of Technology, Yola, near Gieri also confirmed the crash to newsmen.

One of the crashed helicopters according to residents of the area were on surveillance, for any possible attack from the dreaded Islamist sect, the Boko Haram, dislodged from Mubi, the commercial nerve centre of the state.

The crash is the second in a space of two weeks, following a crash of one of the military helicopters few days after the insurgents captured Mubi.
